About Aztec Manufacturing Corporation
Aztec Manufacturing Corporation, a minority owned organization, was established in Ecorse, Michigan on September 4, 1983. Aztec began producing machined forgings and castings for the Ford Heavy Truck Division in 8000 sq. ft. of leased space. In September 1988, Aztec moved to their current location in Romulus, MI. The building consisted of 20,000 sq. ft. of mfg and warehousing plus 2,500 ft. of office space. Today we have over 80,000 sq. ft. of mfg and 5000 sq. ft. of office space. In addition to our main manufacturing facility, Aztec also has a second facility, a 42,000 sq. ft. building located in Fowlerville, MI. The building was built for Aztec and is currently being used for additional warehousing but could also be used for manufacturing if required. Our current facility is located near three major freeways (I-275, I-94, and US-23) and within 10 minutes of Detroit Metropolitan Airport. We currently employ 60+ people. Our largest customers are: Ford Motor Company, Toyota, and Dana.
Letter from President / CEO
As I look at the growth over the years since our inception in 1983, I am extremely proud of what we have achieved and even more excited about our outlook for an equally promising future. We have successfully transitioned from a local Romulus start-up to become a respected firm, garnering business from across the nation and doing business in other countries while earning our clients’ trust and respect along the way.
It is satisfying to know that we are able to offer our clients the strategic support that enables them to build a superior product more efficiently and economically. Customer satisfaction is the hallmark by which we measure our performance, and we hold ourselves, as do our clients, to the highest standards of quality.
In this continually evolving marketplace, our clients are more informed and better prepared with technological improvements and expect the same from us as a supplier of quality components. That being said, they continue to select Aztec Manufacturing Corporation as a partner because of our experience, commitment to quality, community, and integrity.
